Pursuit Packaging is a B2B distributor of various products ranging from Safety & PPE products, nitrile gloves, shrink wraps and labels, janitorial supplies, and other products. I had previously done a redesign of their logo, and John and Shanna were pleased enough that they had me design a box for one of their products. About a year or two later, they returned to ask for help in updating their website.
At the time, their website was almost entirely comprised of a series of images – mostly manufacturer screenshots. This meant the site was not at all responsive, didn’t show up well in search engine results, and extremely inaccessible to anyone with a visual impairment. I set them up with a WordPress site using the BeTheme, which I then further customized to fall in line with their new branding color scheme. I had to go out and find images for every product, and in some cases, create composite images for some products photos (namely the box with glove in front of it). I think I know more about Nitrile and Latex gloves than I ever thought I would.
In order to layout the product category pages just right, I used the WPBakery’s Grid Builder feature. This allowed me to determine exactly what information displayed in category item listings. For other products that had a more tabular data layout, I used Tablenator WP, which allowed me to create, and then choose individual product tables to appear in different product content blocks.
