I was contacted by Oscar Martinez to create a logo for his video game store. The owner told me that he wanted to use dark blue, and evoke the feel of the 80’s and old arcade video games.  He was particularly fond of the idea of incorporating a Vaporwave mimicking a sunset in bright shades of yellow, orange and pink.

We tried on a several different font combinations, and finally settled on a combination of Rummy Tall Regular, with some additional accent lines added, and Century Gothic.

I love the result, and best of all, so does the owner.  I got tickled when we were walking downtown and my son said, “Mom, there’s that thing you made.”  I had no clue what he meant, and then I saw it on a sign outside an office building.
