This is a 11×15 watercolor painting of a flowering begonia on our porch wall. This begonia is from a cutting of one that belonged to my great grandmother.
I wracked my brain for what to paint as my final piece for the exhibit and settled on this subject after looking through my photos from this past year. My last minute choice turned out to be fortuitous because when my mom saw it she lamented that hers (the original) seems to have died. So I will be giving her cuttings of mine so she can still have it.
