This is an 11×15 watercolor painting I did of an open peapod on one of our kitchen placemats. I’d opened the peas for eating but they looked so perfect nestled in their pod that I had to snap a picture. I chose the black and white placemats because I felt the green would really pop against the star black and white. I liked the forced perspective so I leaned into it for the painting.
