This is an 11×15 watercolor I did of a double crested cormorant floating on water.  In 2023 we took the family kayaking on the Potomac.  While out on the water, we saw a bird, and were wondering what it was.  Looking it up, I identified it as a double crested cormorant, and looking at a picture online, I saw those blue eyes surrounded by little white dots and knew I wanted to paint it.  The original photo had muddy brown water, but I decided to brighten it up a bit.
