I’ve done work for the Big Fish Cider Co. for a few years now. I started with creating rack cards and making edits to their existing label designs, but I also manage their website. Late in 2020 I realized that something wasn’t quite right with their theme. In the process of realizing that their previously “free” theme was now subscription based, and kind of getting the runaround from the theme designer, I ended up moving them to one of the 600+ BeTheme layouts. I installed their chosen theme and then set about getting their images and content into the new layout. I did quite a bit of image cleanup, resizing and renaming as appropriate, and of course, getting all the alt, title and descriptions filled in, while I was at it. I had to create new versions of some of the theme elements, including the dividers, and the product slider on the front page, and the semi-transparent apples on the front page. All of the images were created using existing elements of their current branding, as well the many beautiful photographs of their products and their orchards. The new site is gorgeous, if I do say so myself, and really showcases their content, and their product much better than the old theme did.
